We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Daniel Kebede, General Secretary of the National Education Union, will be joining us in person on the Wirral and serving as guest speaker at our AGM on 14th May at The Village. This is a rare opportunity to meet and hear directly from the leader of the UK’s largest education union.

⭐ Who is Daniel Kebede?
Daniel is a former primary teacher, long‑standing union activist, and now the General Secretary of the NEU, elected in 2023 after serving as National President and Executive Member.
He has been a prominent voice for fair pay, workload reduction and defending the integrity of education, and he was awarded the national Blair Peach Award for outstanding anti‑racist work.
🎤 Where You May Have Seen Him
Daniel is a highly visible public figure who regularly appears in major national media. His speeches and statements have been widely covered across platforms including:
- Coverage of NEU rallies, picket lines and public demonstrations across the country, frequently reported by UK news organisations
- He has also been on mainstream Television standing up for teachers rights and conditions.
His media presence means many members will already recognise him as a passionate and powerful advocate for educators.📅 AGM – 14th May at The Village, Bromborough, 5:30pm
