As you may be aware, the National Education Union (NEU) will be holding a Special Conference on Saturday, 28 February 2026 in London, to discuss a crucial motion concerning the union’s approach to the representation and recruitment of support staff.
This is a pivotal moment for our union. The decisions made at this conference will shape our future strategy and could have lasting implications for support staff across the education sector. It is therefore essential that our district is fully represented.
We are now seeking volunteers to attend as delegates. If you are interested in representing our district at this important event, please complete the Declaration of Interest Form Special Conference Declaration of Interest by 25th November 2025.
We particularly encourage support staff members to consider volunteering, as the motion directly affects your representation and future within the NEU. Should the motion require a vote, your voice will be vital in shaping the outcome.
Further details regarding travel, accommodation, and conference logistics will be shared once our delegation is confirmed. We expect all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
