North West Secretary of the Year
Ian Harris, Secretary for Wirral District and Branch of the NEU, has been recognised regionally for his hard work, knowledge and support for Wirral members. This is a well-deserved acknowledgement of the efforts Ian goes to, way above and beyond, in the campaign to support members’ rights in the workplace. Congratulations Ian!
North West Reps of the Year: two of our own
The NEU annually invites members to nominate an NEU Representative/Officer who they feel deserves to be recognised by the union for their hard work and commitment.
The award is then judged at regional level by a panel of National Executive members.
We were delighted that Poppy Jones and Emma Lodge won the North West Reps of the Year as recognition for the hard work and commitment they had shown during the pandemic. Their work has galvanised members and ensured that health and safety is taken seriously within their workplace. Their continued commitment has led to significant wins for members that improve their workload and wellbeing.
