Fund Fair Pay Ballot Briefing(In Person) 4/2/25 Hoylake Community Centre

A chance to learn more and ask questions about the upcoming indicative ballot on  the government’s recommended pay and funding offer.

With ongoing issues in our schools such as lack of funding, teacher shortages, and increasing workload pressures, the government announcement of an unfunded 2.8% pay rise for teachers, is insufficient. This pay rise does not address the real-term loss in pay since 2010, the rising cost of living, or the need to attract and retain teachers. The National Education Union (NEU) executive has decided to hold a preliminary electronic ballot, asking members if they would be prepared to strike over pay and funding. Without funding, schools may have to cut staff and resources.
